OM JANANIM SHARADAM DEVIM RAMAKRISHNAM JAGAD GURUM PADA PADME TAYO SHRITVA PRANAM AMI MUHUR MUHUR So before we start the gospel study, there are two questions and both questions are very important questions. The first question is, as usual from the study group, they have found out something very very interesting but most people may not understand it. So I would like to go straight to the subject. Shri Ramakrishna very often used to accept a devotee, whoever comes to him, after going through three stages of examination. The very first is physical traits, how is the body, how are the eyes, how are the hands, how is the chest, how is the backside, how does a man walk, sit, even defecate. Shri Ramakrishna, I will give some examples, probably today it will take some time, it's very important to understand this subject. There is also a branch of science, it's called phrenology. That is, there were some people and this subject mainly is all about the head. By studying the physical shape of the head, where there are bumps, whether it is an equiline nose or elongated lips etc. Now before I go into this, there was a very famous psychologist, he is called Jung. And he divided people into four categories, the white, the black, the yellow and the brown. White means white people, black means mostly Africans, brown means Indians and Asians, some of the Asians, not all Asians. And yellow means these Japanese people who have Mongolian traits, short and the eyes are very close together, a peculiar type of eyes. And in that respect, he posed, he particularly referred to people with elongated lips. When we see, perhaps you can see my face, I am telling you here is the nose and most of the Indians from the bottom of the nose, the lips come forward a little. But if you look at the black colored skin, it goes very much elongated like this. But if you observe the Western people, from the bottom of the nose, the lips go back. That means to say, I cannot do it physically, but it goes back and the nose becomes very sharp and the lips become very small, very thin. And Jung had remarked, such people become extremely demonical, selfish and they have no kindness, no compassion, no sympathy with anybody else. Now he remarked these things after studying a lot of cases. Before I go into the subject, we have to discuss. Even each one of us have some kind of intuition. It is not really intuition. Let me say it is instinct, animal instinct. Sometimes you see people, if you observe my eyes, restlessly moving their eyes from side to side. Sriram Krishna remarked, that person is a very clever fellow. And we can see some people's faces, very glum, very cruel. In fact, I read about a Muslim king. He was a kind of cheap. Even one look at his face, people used to get heart attacks, such as the ferociousness of his face. So you can see, even we can find out this person is a trustworthy person, etc. And I will give another example. I read about this subject and it is a very common experience and we are using it all the time, albeit unconsciously. Supposing you happen to go in Bangalore to some remote place, colony, say let us say Malaysia. And there somebody known to you is living. And nowadays, you know, all the houses look practically alike. Sometimes in India, it is very difficult to ferret out the exact house. So you have come very near. You know the house is somewhere nearby. But you are not able to find out. Now you find, you have to ask somebody. And there is a group of people, 3-4 people, standing there and talking and joking. And then you understand these people are the local people, they must surely be knowing their surroundings. So you approach one of them and then you ask them, I am looking for such and such a house, can you direct me? This is what we do usually. Now the funny part of it is that you think you just go and select one of the persons at random and then you are asking that question. Nothing doing. Your unconscious or subconscious mind has already assessed all the faces and you found out a person and somehow you have come to the conclusion that here is a person who looks very cooperative, very good-natured person and then your mind has directed, your legs have taken you to that person all unconsciously. But you are thinking any person X, Y, Z is okay. No, they are not okay. Another example, a young man, he goes into the college. He is attracted to some people, he is not attracted to some people. He becomes inimical to some people and that is our day-to-day experience. You come across somebody, it could be you are looking for a maidservant or for a cook or for a driver or you go for an interview and you are the victim there, you will be questioned. You will become a very questionable person there and then you look at those people, you know, albeit unconsciously, already you have taken a like or dislike to some people or if it is one person and they also have reciprocated your feeling. What I am trying to convey to you that this is not a special thing that happens only in few people like Sri Ramakrishna. It happens all the time like that. But these great people instinctively, they know, I avoid the word intuitively because intuition is needed only for spiritual realm, not for worldly realm. What is instinct? Through past experience, we have developed certain shortcuts whereby we act and react. Simple example, as soon as we see a snake, immediately we get frightened and we go away. Later on only we stop to think whether it is a harmful snake coming towards you or anything else because many people have died and we don't know whether it is poisonous or non-poisonous but the first instinct is to run away. Even if you notice our reaction towards some of the animals, for example, dogs is also exactly like that. Whether you like some dogs, you don't like some dogs, it is very, very natural thing that happens. Some puppies, if you want to buy, I have read some of the stories, especially the books written by Jim Corbett. He has written marvelous stories on nature, man-eating tigers, etc. So you will see some dogs take what is called instinctive dislike and you also do the same thing, you become frightened, etc. So whether it is some inert objects, houses, cars, dress, mountains, rivers, places, anything, if you observe yourself, you find yourself towards certain things we are drawn, towards certain things somehow something tells this is not for me. So this is something that is going on all the time. That is the first point we have to understand. It is nothing special in Shri Ramakrishna. It is going on in everybody. Because it is the life of Shri Ramakrishna and teachings, I will give certain examples. One day, some people came to see Holy Mother at Jairambati and actually they were sent by Swami Premanandaji. And Holy Mother was sitting there. Usually she was extremely free and extremely gracious towards anybody. The moment she sees any devotee, immediately her face, her eyes lit up like a mother who sees her baby coming towards her, running. But the moment Holy Mother saw these people, she shrunk into herself. She suffers also from traumatic pains. Immediately withdrew her legs and then the devotees came and somebody introduced Swami Baburao Maharaj had sent and Holy Mother never liked. As soon as they came, they wanted to touch her feet. They did not allow but they forcibly touched her legs. She started suffering as if stung by a hundred scorpions. But very patiently she behaved as if very normal and they demanded, we want to be initiated by you. And Swami Premananda has sent us to you. After some time, they were given quarters to live there, very primitive quarters. And then Holy Mother was remarking, even Baburao sends me this one. She could not say no and they might have addressed her as Mother and she gave initiation next morning and they left immediately. And when this information reached Swami Premananda, he became extremely grave and he started chanting, Jai Maa, Jai Maa. The poison which we ourselves could not, cannot digest, we are sending to her and silently she is swallowing like Lord Shiva, swallowing poison. And in the case of Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda, many other people, it is absolutely very naturally it happens. It happens, as I said, with regard to you. Just look at yourself, recollect when you went to some people's house and there are some dogs, how you reacted, etc. And when you look at the faces of some people, whether they are taxi drivers or anybody, Ola drivers, you will see instinctively you have taken dislike without knowing first time you are seeing it. This is something that is happening all the time with regard to everything. Now, Ramakrishna was a past master. As I was mentioning, whenever a devotee comes absolutely fresh, Ramakrishna does not know and he wants to know whether I can help this person. So he tests this person in three ways. All this information is in the Leela Prasangar, The Great Master by Swami Saradanandaji. So the first thing is, looks at the very body, traits of the body and I am going to quote some of his statements about the body condition and when he looks at it, he has formed more or less a very good opinion and Ramakrishna, remember, he never wants to judge anybody, find fault with anybody. The purpose is whether this person is going to progress in spiritual life or not. That is the only purpose. Is it of any use for me to help this person? That is the only purpose. And that is how when some worldly people come, immediately he understands they are not interested and this is what I see there. He will say very very politely, there are nice gardens, buildings, go and see the buildings and on 100% he was absolutely right. The second methodology, if the devotee happens to come, he will observe everything. I make fun of Ramakrishna in so many ways. You see, his eyes are always half closed but with half closed eyes, he knows your inside, outside, your past, your present, your future, everything he knows and then he observes how you are sitting, how you are breathing, how you are eating, what things you are eating, everything like a huge sponge. He is checking all the information about you and he will see whether his first impressions are tallying with what he had estimated this person to be or not. 99%, I would say 100% because they do not act and react on our what is called rational plane. It is all absolutely instinctive or intuitive. Until now it is instinctive. The third methodology, when he finds this person has potentiality to progress in spiritual life, then he will look with his yogic insight into the person's character and then he knows the past, present, what impressions, whether the person has got a lot of lust, anger, greed, worldliness or what type of obstacles are likely to block his further progress, etc. and accordingly he will treat him. I am going to quote some of the examples here. We will come to that soon. But I want to quote one more example. Swami Vivekananda was what is called antithesis of Ramakrishna. Modern educated, English educated, ration based behaviour and he used to say these are all hallucinations of Ramakrishna. But very soon he himself has come to know. In fact, Ramakrishna also issues certain statements about Narendranath himself and later on Ramakrishna said that everything that Ramakrishna had foretold about me has come absolutely true but here is an incident. Ramakrishna, Narendranath, future Swami Vivekananda observed that when some people come and they used to bring some fruits and whatever they touch, Ramakrishna's body instinctively recoils and it will not be able to touch. And Narendranath said, good man. In fact, Narendra had come to his own peculiar pet opinion upon seeing Ramakrishna on the first and second occasions. First occasion was at Kolkata in a devotee's house and Narendra was brought there and he sang just for the purpose of singing devotional songs and Narendranath sang two beautiful songs. And the second song was Jabeki Hai Din Amar Befale Jaiya O Lord, all my days go in vain meaning without progressing towards you O mind, why are you roaming about in a foreign country in a foreign dress without any purpose? And both songs we have seen also, we will see also are highly meaningful. We are all wandering in this Videsha. This Videsha is called Maya Rajya, Vranti Rajya. And we are putting strange dress. What is this strange dress? Some being is a man, some being is a woman, some are mosquitoes, some are dogs, some are tigers, some are lions, some are trees, etc. By the way, if you think some beings are trees, you may say, oh, but these trees, they don't have any mind. Yes, they have mind, they have feelings and they are fully sensitive, they have their own language, they can communicate with each other, all these things. So, one day Ramakrishna, Swamiji, that is Narendranath, they were returning to Dakshineshwar. On the way, Ramakrishna felt very thirsty. Probably, everything that happens in Ramakrishna's life is for a particular purpose. So, this also might have been for the enlightenment of Narendranath because he was cherishing these ideas. He is a very good man. And I forgot to mention, after first and second visits, Swami Vivekananda labelled him good person but monomaniac. In every respect, he is okay, but as soon as one subject is brought up, immediately, he will rave like a madman. And that was what he thought, very clever opinion of mine. I am very intelligent. I am absolutely right. He did not know how wrong he was. He did not know that he did not have all these things at that time. And then he wanted to test Ramakrishna. He tested also. But Ramakrishna played with him like a cat plays with a rat. One day, he touched. And Narendranath had the pet opinion that my will is so strong, nobody can sway it, even a little bit. As soon as Ramakrishna casually touched him, immediately, entered into completely, as if a sand castle had been broken, even by a child. So easy it is. And then he was shocked. I thought I was the strongest person mentally. And here is a man, casually he comes and just taps me. And then everything is completely gone out of my control. So many such incidents were there. Of course, he learnt many lessons. And then he came to the conclusion that Ramakrishna was an embodiment of purity. And when some people come and Ramakrishna could not touch, Narendranath understood it's not a mentally thought out reaction. The very body of Ramakrishna, just like our bodies, when something very hot or stinging, even a mosquito lands on any part of our body, or a tiny ant crawls on any part of our body, immediately we become very sensitive to that particular part of the body. Like that, Ramakrishna's holy body used to react like anything. In fact, I am in a mood to recollect because this is how we have to understand. Ramakrishna was returning from Calcutta to Dakshineswar in a horse carriage. On the way, he felt thirsty and he expressed his wish. Narendranath said, Sir, one of my close friends lives here. Let us stop. The house is just by the roadside. And they stopped. Sri Ramakrishna was taken inside. And actually, many people heard of Sri Ramakrishna by that time. And the house people were very respectful. With the greatest respect conducted him. Gentlemen's houses used to have some special rooms for showing respectful visitors. They were taken inside. Ramakrishna was seated. And then it was explained he was very thirsty. Water is required. Then Narendra's friend, his elder brother, he had all the signs of a Vaishnava. Huge marks all over the body. He was uttering this Hare Rama, Hare Rama. And Tulasi beads hung around his neck. Immediately, with the greatest humility, you know, for a Vaishnava's humility, Trinadapi Sanichayana, Taroriva Sahishnana, Amanina Manadena. These are the characteristics one should have. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Sikshashtakam tells, only when a person becomes humbler than a blade of grass, more forbearing than a tree, and giving respect to everybody, never expecting respect for oneself, only after acquiring, to some extent, these three qualities, one is supposed to take the name of God, then only it becomes effective. So this man, showing all the signs of this humility, etc., he went inside, washed a glass, and filled it up with drinking water, with the greatest respect, came and wanted to hand it over to Ramakrishna. Ramakrishna's hand stretched towards the tumbler, but could not touch it. There were some devotees who had witnessed similar type of scenes. Immediately they understood that there is something wrong with this man's character, because there is nothing wrong with the water, nothing wrong with the tumbler, but with the character of the person. Ramakrishna doesn't know anything about it, his mind doesn't know, but his body instinctively becomes alert. Immediately another devotee said, I think there is something here in this water, some excuse. This is not written there, I am just adding to that, so that the person need not be hurt. He went inside and washed it off. From the same source, water is filled up again, but this time Ramakrishna had no problem. And Narendra was witnessing it from beginning to end. He decided, today let me find out whether anything is there behind this act of Ramakrishna. So after talking a little bit, Ramakrishna returned to the carriage, but Narendra Nath excused himself and then he said, I will follow later on and send Ramakrishna away to Dakshineswar. And then he called his friend aside and said, now tell me, this is what had happened, what type of person your elder brother is. And that man broke down literally and said, I am a younger brother, how can I talk ill of my own elder brother? He pretends to be a devotee of God. He is actually a terrible hypocrite and he is also immoral. He is having some illicit connection with some immoral woman, all in the name of God and religion. And that was a very common thing in those days. And many, some of the relatives of Ramakrishna like Haladari and some of the pandits that came into contact with Ramakrishna like Vaishnavacharan were all practicing this Ushya Samaja, secret societies. And that is why an incarnation had to come down. So after hearing everything, Narendra Nath became, oh my God, what a wrong opinion I developed about Sri Ramakrishna, but this is the truth. And then everything fell into pieces. Thereafter, every incident proved to the hilt why Sri Ramakrishna's behavior is so instinctive. So his body, everything became absolute purest instrument like an electronic balance which cannot tolerate even one speck of dust when it is going to delicately weigh something like some atoms or something like that. Now coming back to our subject, another incident was there. Once Sri Ramakrishna fell ill, the physician prescribed you drink every day a glass of lemon water. Lemonade, not exactly lemonade. Lemonade is very tasty, especially when you add sugar and then iced lemonade. Sri Ramakrishna also tasted it later on, but just lemon juice. Near Dakshineswar, there was a garden and the permission of the owner was taken and every day one lemon used to be brought and one day the lemon was brought in the usual way and Sri Ramakrishna that day could not touch that lemon. And then later on, the person who brought, he went to the watchman because there, these are called garden houses, Bhaganwadi. And there, the owners come only occasionally just to Jal Sagar, what we call in Hindi, that is enjoyment house. And many people have mistresses and they drink also. They come with friends, play cards, enjoy the women, music, etc. Whatever it be, it doesn't matter. So the owner, he had washed so many lemon trees and to give a lemon, so many lemons he used to fall down. You know why? Even monkeys would not touch them. Vanaras will not touch them. Only Naras cherish them. That is why Vanaras think Naras have not evolved sufficiently. Okay. So then the watchman told him, previous day, the garden was sold to somebody so the garden from yesterday belonged to somebody else. That person's permission has not been taken. The same watchman is retained there and the devotee was astounded. My God! Neither the watchman told nor the devotee knew nor Shri Ram Krishna knew anything about it but his body instinctively reacted because truthfulness cannot be violated. Now we will come to some of the characteristics that Shri Ram Krishna had himself described and perhaps a question had come, how, why a person is not able to make progress in spiritual life? Shri Ram Krishna, it depends on physical traits. A dwarfish stature and dents here and there on the body are bad signs. Such a person takes a long time to attain Jnanam or which means Bhakti, enlightenment. This is one saying. A dwarfish person and dents here and there Vakra, body. Another saying, Shri Ram Krishna, about some person, may be so, but he doesn't have a high spiritual ideal. His physical signs are not so good. He has a pugish face. These other youngsters are of a different class. So there was a person, he had a pugish face and he cannot attain to a high spiritual form. Shri Ram Krishna is narrating some of his experiences. When the state of divine intoxication came to me, the first time in Dakshineswar, a Brahmin lady belonging to a respectable family came. She had very good signs. As soon as a garland was put around her neck and incense burnt before her, she went into Samadhi. Even though I am quoting this one, we have to understand it properly. What is it? A lady came. She had very good signs. Who is telling? Shri Ram Krishna. Because he could see it. And then here is a proof. A garland was put around her neck and incense was burnt before her and these two acts brought her mind to a very high state and she went into Samadhi. And then Shri Ram Krishna was telling how this Narendranath had reacted towards Shri Ram Krishna. At first, Narendra called them, that is, Ram Krishna's visions, hallucinations of the mind. Now he accepts everything. Everything. Why Shri Ram Krishna reacts, acts towards some people like that and everything. Shri Ram Krishna. Another incident. When I was leaving my bed, I saw a certain person's face and thought that Raghav was coming. Everybody laughs at it. It was not so. All laugh. Oh yes! Oh yes! You must notice all these physical signs. Another incident. A certain Mallik went to Jadu's house. I could see from his eyes how clever and deceitful he was. Looking him straight in the eye, I said to him, it's not good to be too clever. A crow is a very clever bird but it eats excrete of others and dies. I also saw that he was wretched and not well off. Speechless with wonder, Jadu's mother asked me, Baba, she used to address Shri Ram Krishna as Baba, how did you know all this, he had nothing? Shri Ram Krishna replied, I knew it by just looking at his face. Some people they hide and they pretend as though they have so many things but nobody can hide anything from Ram Krishna. So about M, we have also read about it in the beginning. I don't know whether any memories are being jogged in your mind. M's egotism is getting crushed. How? Because Shri Ram Krishna asked M, Are you married? He said, Yes, Sir. Ah me! He is married. That means 90% gone. Then Ram Krishna's next question followed, Any children? Yes. Ah me! He has even children. And this time, M felt his ego is getting crushed. Is it such a bad thing to get married, etc. We have seen all those things. So M's egotism is getting crushed. After a while, Shri Ram Krishna looks at him kindly and speaks affectionately, See, you have some good signs. I can know it by looking at one's eyes and forehead. Shri Ram Krishna felt sad when he came to know that M was married and had children but he also told him that there were very good yogic, spiritual signs on his forehead and eyes. Shri Ram Krishna strokes Narendra's face and hands and says, All these are the signs of a devotee. The features of a man of knowledge are different. His face and body are dry. This is what I am trying, struggling to tell you all the time. Don't follow Gnana Marga. You will become dry. Your bones will be dry and you cannot even digest boiled water. Be a devotee and be born in Tirupati. Morning Tirupati, Chakra Pongal Prasada and noon Tirupati Laddu. And evening you will have so many other things, marvellous things. And then, Swami Sharada Ranji was describing that how these different signs, the very physical changes are manifest. When Shri Ram Krishna was practising Vaishnava sadhanas, especially Madhura Bhava, this is what Swami Sharada Ranji was telling. Nineteen such moods, these are called spiritual bhavas, were fully manifested all together here, showing his own body in one receptacle. And what does it mean? It is said in the Vaishnava literature, when all these nineteen moods are present, such a person is called Mahabhavi. Mahabhava means full manifestation of everything, like the hair stands up, incessant water flows from the corner of the eye and the person is completely in a semi-conscious state and there is a sign of tremendous joy. He either laughs or dances or sings. Nineteen such manifestations of signs. But if a person has even one, he is sure to reach the goal. But it is only in the bodies, in the lives of Avatar Purushas that all these nineteen are present. Mirabai had that one. Radha Devi had that one. Andal had that one. And very few people, say Ramakrishna, had that one. In fact, Ramakrishna, he meditated upon Radha Devi. That is also a subject we are going to discuss soon. So, extraordinary physical changes have happened in the master's life during the mood of a woman. We have mentioned before also that blood oozed out from every pore of the master's body on account of the extreme anguish arising from the sense of separation from Krishna. It happened at this time in the ultimate stage of the Mahabhava. He became so much absorbed in the constant thought of himself as a woman that he could not look upon himself as one of the other sex, even in a dream. That is to say, he could not think of himself as a man even in a dream. His body and senses functioned naturally like those of a woman. Perhaps you will recall, recollect, like a woman, he developed what you call menstruation periods, like a woman. And when he meditated upon Hanuman, he grew even a tail. It is only a very small tail. If anybody is under the wrong impression, it grew to half a foot. That is a tail, not a tail. The Vedanta teaches. Why? What is the reason? Saraswami Sharada Ranje himself is explaining this. And psychology also teaches. The modern psychology had coined a very special word for this. It is called psychosomatic effect. The Vedanta teaches that it is the mind of man that has created his body in its present form and that it is reforming it every moment of his life by decomposing and recomposing it through the functioning of intense desires. I will add my own commentary in case we just gloss over without reading all those things. That is why. Say, suppose, you find a person intensely angry. Look at his face. Even a lovely face becomes distorted with anger, hatred. But supposing a person is overcome with tremendous love. Look at his eyes. Look at the eyes of a mother when the baby approaches. Swami Vivekananda gives this example. Supposing there is a woman. She is a mother. She is very angry with somebody. Probably with her husband for whatever reason. And then she is blazing eyes. Her blazing eyes looking at her husband. And then suddenly the baby comes running, stretches its hands, and one look, and she takes the baby, all her anger totally is replaced by the tremendous love for the baby. So, Swami Ikshar Dhanji continues. Though we are told of the great mastery the mind has over the body, we do not really comprehend the full extent of it. This is because there is no object for the attainment of which we experience that kind of intense desire under the influence of which the mind turns away from all other objects and concentrates itself on that particular desire and thereby manifests extraordinary powers. An extraordinary statement. If we have intense desire, for example, I want to be able to sing beautifully. And this is what makes a person's even voice change also. Supposing a person has an intense desire, even a donkey's voice in course of time, it goes on changing very much because what forms our present body is what we did and created a desire and those desires of the past life are now called samskaras or karmaphalas. We have created our present body, present mind, present circumstances, present family, present marriage, partner, present children, present everything. Our present life is the manifestation, complete manifestation of the result of our purva janma karma phala. Not every complete karma phala, only minute portion of it has taken this form. Who created this body? We created. Why? Because I desired. No, no. An ugly person will say, I never wanted to be a dwarf person. I never wanted to be what is called flattened nosed person. I did not want to be equally nosed person. I did not want all these angularities. My friend, you consciously did not desire but your actions were produced out of desires and those actions have yielded result. Some of those results have taken the form of even to be born as a man, as a woman. Just a small bit of information. In the Yoga Vasishta, there was a king and he fell in love with a woman and then he entered into a lake by mistake. That was a cursed lake and then his whole body became transformed. He became a woman and then there was no option but for him to marry and then he found out he was enjoying his body, woman's body, even more than he was enjoying his male body. So, janma janma antara I don't want any male body. I want only a female body. It is a big story. We find it in the Bhagavatam. It is the story of avijnata. Our close friend is always with us whom we never see. He is called avijnata. Anyway, if you have patience and you go there, it will be a great enlightenment, eye opener to all of us. So, if we have any intense desire, our whole body will change, our personality will change, everything will change. So, nobody need complain that unfortunately, God has given me this kind of body, this kind of mind. No. God has given you a tailor-made body, tailor-made everything, circumstances in this world because that is what you desired, albeit unconsciously through our actions. If anybody wants to change, can he change? Yes. This is what psychology tells, psychosomatic effect. Overnight, things can change. One example they give, which I think is not true, that Mary Antoinette, the French Queen, when she came to know that she was going to be guillotined next morning, her dark hair had turned into white hair. And it happens, if a person is having too many worries, that is what happens, the whole face becomes what is called very holy or unholy, whatever it is, somebody is suffering from too many worries. You can see it if you open your eyes, all around you, in you, about you. So it is needless to add, this is clearly proved by the fact that the Master's body changed in a short time on account of his intense desire to experience a particular object. And then something, the women devotees who are listening to this should not mind, I am only quoting the Ramakrishna's words, the Master said many things about the formation of the body of women. So ascertaining the spiritual nature of women. The Master said this we will find in the great Master, not in the Gospel. Many things about the formation of the limbs of women's bodies as well as those of men. Observing this, he specified some women as Vidya Shaktis, in other words, as those helping men in their Godward spiritual progress and others as Avidya Shaktis, that is those who drag men towards worldliness. He said, as I mentioned, please don't take offence. The Vidya Shaktis take only a small quantity of food, require only a little sleep and have naturally little attachment to the sense organs. Their hearts are especially filled with joy to hear their husbands talk of God. They themselves talk of the Lord and give their husbands a high spiritual impulse, always protecting them from any inclinations and actions and assisting them in all matters so that they may be blessed by realising God at last. The nature and actions of the Avidya Shaktis on the other hand are of quite an opposite kind. They are seen to hanker after many physical comforts and require much food and sleep. Their chief aim is to prevent their husbands from paying attention to anything excepting God. If their husbands speak to them about spiritual things, they become displeased and annoyed. The Master sometimes explained that the external form of that particular sense organ with the help of which women acquire the prerogative of motherhood indicates their inward attachment to sensual enjoyment. He also said that its forms varied. This is an animal instinct. Again he said that those whose buttocks bulge out like the hind parts of black ants have that instinct to an inordinate degree. And about men he used to say anyway there is nothing much to hide about it. If a man when he is passing water that is urine and if the stream is a very worldly person but a yogi's stream of water will always go instinctively to the right. And about squint eyed person and very lean and thin bony types of persons I have already quoted those things. Thus there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And about the human mind there is no limit to what you can say about the human body. And this is a great instrument to understand our own body and mind. Analyze it and set about to change. And the key is we have to set our mind, our thoughts. Then everything will be absolute. This is the purpose. And the machine should look like that. That's why every machine looks different because it fulfills a different purpose. So it is the thought of the inventor or the inventor of the thought of the machine. And this is the purpose of the thought of the machine. So this is the purpose of the thought of the machine. I might continue in our next class but I want to deal with another question, a very wonderful question. So how do we avoid doing something to help another human being if they are in trouble with their karma? I was confused when I asked this question. Here is the answer. First of all, helping others, whatever may be, if they are suffering, that is their karma. But helping others through the advice of other people, some people claim that they are clairvoyants, I don't see very few people have that power. Whatever it be, even if it is true, even if this person is a clairvoyant, I don't see very few people have that power. I don't see very few people have that power. I don't see very few people have that power. I don't see very few people have that power. I don't see very few people have that power. I don't see very few people have that power. I So suppose you give some money and she goes into the hospital and the doctor treats, there is no guarantee she is going to become better. On the other hand, if she is not destined to die, if she is destined to recover, she is going to recover by one means or the other, there is no doubt about it, there should be no confusion. What is the lesson? Lesson is go by your heart, feel that I want to help, whatever God has given me, let me help. Put a full stop there, that's it. This is my advice in now, in future also. I will stop here and these are marvellous things, we will come to that in our next class. Om Jananem Sharadaam Deveem, Ramakrishnam Jagat Gurum, Bhadapatmetayo Saritva, Pranamaame Muhur Moho.
